Stellar Crown: the most expensive Pokémon cards

Stellar Crown came out on 13 September 2024 and it is the Terapagos set. Except that if you look at the price ranking, Terapagos is third: ahead of it there are a Squirtle and a Bulbasaur that have nothing to do with the set's theme at all.

We ran every card in the set through the DarkDex pricing engine and sorted by value. These are real single-card prices, Near Mint, the lowest available across sellers, updated on 7 September 2026.

In short. Squirtle #148 at 98.58 € and Bulbasaur #143 at 95.63 €, both Illustration Rares; the mascot Terapagos ex #170 is third at 36.51 €. The 142 base set cards cost 27.79 € together, while the 33 special printings cost 456.51. Prices as of 7 September 2026.

Why two Kanto starters are at the top

Stellar Crown is built around Terapagos, the Pokémon on the box. And yet the two most expensive cards are a Squirtle and a Bulbasaur in Illustration Rare form: 98.58 € and 95.63 €, against 36.51 € for the illustrated Terapagos ex.

This is not an isolated quirk, it is the rule of modern sets: value follows the artwork, not the card's role in the set. A Squirtle is a common that does nothing in tournaments, but it is one of the most loved Pokémon there is, drawn full-page in a set where very few of them appear. Terapagos is the mascot of one set, and in two years it will be remembered by the people who played it.

The most direct way to see it is the three printings of Terapagos ex inside the same set:

The same card, playable in exactly the same way, costs thirty-seven times more purely because the drawing changed.

Two Kanto starters, and no Charmander

There is a detail that makes the top of this ranking odder still: Stellar Crown gave an Illustration Rare to Squirtle and Bulbasaur, but not to Charmander. The two that exist are first and second in the set at 98.58 € and 95.63 €, within three euro of each other, which is what happens when two cards are wanted for exactly the same reason.

It is also a good illustration of how little the set's own theme has to do with its prices. Terapagos is on the box, on the packs and in the name of the expansion, and it is beaten by two Kanto starters that appear in the set almost as guests.

What is the rarest card in Stellar Crown

There is no official answer, because pull rates are not published. If you mean the card everybody is after, it is the Squirtle #148. If you mean the printing that closes the numbering, it is the Bravery Charm #175, a gold tool card at 5.02 €.

The usual distance between the two questions: the last card in the list is almost never the one worth anything.

How many cards does Stellar Crown have

The set has 142 official cards and reaches 175 counting the special printings past the base numbering.

What it costs to complete Stellar Crown

Adding up the cheapest Near Mint copy of each of the 175 cards: 484.30 €. But the number to look at is a different one:

• the 142 base set cards cost 27.79 € in total
• the 33 special printings cost 456.51 €, which is 94% of the whole
• the median card costs 11 cents, and 139 of 175 are under one euro
• take out the top ten and the other 165 cards cost 121.95 €

In practice: the complete base set of Stellar Crown costs under thirty euro. All the rest of the price sits in thirty-three cards, and half of those thirty-three in three.

Stellar Crown inside the Scarlet & Violet era

The number on its own says little: is 484 € a lot or a little? The answer comes from putting the set next to the others in its era, all measured the same way on the same market, between 28 August and 7 September 2026.

Stellar Crown sits near the bottom, and that is good news if you are collecting it now: it costs a ninth of Prismatic Evolutions. The reason is not card quality but print run, and the shape of the ranking backs it up: this is an autumn set with no phenomenon card, the kind that sits in shop stock and turns up everywhere two years later.

There is one thing the total does not tell you, and it matters more than the ranking: the distance between the first card and the tenth. On Prismatic Evolutions you go from 1,171 € to about 40; on Stellar Crown from 98.58 to 5.02. A set whose top card costs under a hundred euro is a set you can actually finish rather than just admire.

Singles or sealed

With a base set that costs 27.79 € complete and thirty-three special cards worth 456.51, the maths is simpler than usual: if you want the playable cards, singles beat any pack. If you want the three cards at the top, you would need dozens of packs for one of them, and at that point the single is both cheaper and certain.

Packs still make sense if opening them is the point, which is a legitimate thing to want and a different thing from completing a set.
