Today it is worth €428.00, its lowest: €24 less in three weeks. The other Pikachu ex, #277, is worth €155.67. Why Ascended Heroes went down
Ascended Heroes came out on 30 January 2026 and is the biggest and richest set of the Mega Evolution series. We cannot say the 30th Celebration is the only cause of the drop, but the picture is the same as for Phantasmal Flames, Pitch Black and Chaos Rising: when a celebration set that people waited for months comes out, collectors' attention and money move there, and the other sets lose buyers.
The difference from the other episodes is that here we are talking about cards worth hundreds of euros: -13% on the Mega Gengar is €57, almost as much as a whole N's Zoroark ex.
Is it worth buying Ascended Heroes cards now?
For buyers, this drop is an opportunity. But nobody can say for sure that it is over.
If you want a card to keep, today N's Zoroark ex costs €14 less than in mid September, Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex €15 less, Mega Gengar ex €57 less. Many cards are at their lowest right now.
If you are buying to resell, the data suggests caution: almost every card is still going down, and only Mega Gengar ex and its Mega Attack Rare have won something back from the bottom. It is worth watching the trend for a few weeks.
If you already own the cards, you have not lost anything until you sell. Your collection is worth less today than in September, but that is a market value, not a realised loss.
