Delta Reign comes out on Friday, November 6, 2026 and is the sixth set of the Mega Evolution block. The full official list arrives with the release, but most of the set is already known: it's the Western version of Storm Emeralda, released in Japan on July 31, and it carries over its Pokémon, artwork and mechanics.
This page is a preview of the main set, card by card, with the Japanese edition's images. The special rarities are in Delta Reign chase cards, prices in the most expensive Delta Reign cards.
In short. Delta Reign has a 103-card main set and 37 special rarities, about 140 numbers (the official announcement says "over 135"). The Japanese twin has a 76-card main set: the four Mega ex, the other four ex, the three Legendary Stadiums printed on two cards and the seven Holo Rares are already there, and the extra cards will come with the official list. DarkDex prices of the Japanese set on October 19, 2026.
How many cards are in Delta Reign
The Western main set has 103 cards, plus 37 special rarities: 14 Illustration Rares, 17 Ultra Rares and 6 Special Illustration Rares. About 140 numbers in total.
The Japanese twin, Storm Emeralda, is shorter: 76 main-set cards and 37 special rarities, 113 numbers. The gap is normal: Western sets take the Japanese one and extend it with cards from nearby Japanese releases. That's why collector numbers change: Groudon Illustration Rare, #084 in Japan, has already shown up in English previews as 111/103.
The four Mega ex of Delta Reign
The numbers above are the Japanese ones.
Mega Rayquaza ex is the cover card: Colorless, 280 HP, an ability that lets you search the top four cards of your deck for a basic Energy when you bench it, and an attack that does 50 damage for each Fire and Lightning Energy on your Pokémon. The whole set revolves around it.
Mega Golurk ex is the wall: 350 HP, the highest in the set, and a 300-damage punch for just two Psychic Energy, paid for by needing at least ten cards in hand. Mega Golisopod ex (Grass, 340 HP) does 220 damage if the opponent's Active Pokémon is already damaged. Mega Malamar ex (Darkness, 320 HP) does 70 damage for each Pokémon on the opponent's Bench.
The Mega Evolution ex rule applies to all four: if they're Knocked Out, the opponent takes three Prize cards.
In the Japanese set the regular prints are cheap: Mega Rayquaza ex #058 €1.86, the other three under one euro. The value lies in the chase prints of the same card, which go up to €450.51.

The other four ex
- Talonflame ex: goes straight from hand to Bench if you have a Colorless Mega ex in play. That is, Mega Rayquaza ex: it's written to go with it
- Raikou ex: Lightning, 200 HP, fetches a Lightning Energy from the first turn. Its SAR is the third most expensive card in the Japanese set, at €38.44
- Wishiwashi ex: Water, 260 HP, heals 50 damage each turn while Active
- Heat Rotom ex: Fire, 190 HP, does damage based on the Fire Energy in your discard pile and then shuffles it back
The Legendary Stadiums played in two halves
The structural novelty of the set. Each Legendary Stadium is printed on two cards with different numbers: the artwork runs from one half to the other and both halves must be played together from your hand to count as a single Stadium. Long-time players will recognize the idea from the HeartGold & SoulSilver LEGEND cards.
- Legendary Ocean Trench: every heal is doubled
- Legendary Summit: when a Colorless Pokémon is Knocked Out by an attack, the opponent takes one fewer Prize card. On Mega Rayquaza ex that means going from three Prizes to two
- Legendary Lava Lake: Evolution Pokémon in play, on both sides, lose their abilities
For collectors there's one practical change: three entries in the set are pairs, and it makes sense to keep them together in the binder.
The Holo Rares
Seven cards in the Japanese set, with a clear Hoenn theme: Groudon and Giratina are the most recognizable. Groudon Holo is also the most expensive non-chase card in the Japanese set after Mega Rayquaza ex, at €0.95. Kyogre is in the set, but as a common: its version to hunt is the Illustration Rare.
The Forces of Nature quartet and the Trainers
Tornadus, Thundurus, Landorus and Enamorus share the same ability: with all four in play, the Colorless Energy costs of their attacks drop to zero. They're uncommons worth a few cents, but with a clear role in a deck.
The Trainers come from Hoenn: Zinnia's Trust, Tate & Liza's Training, Aarune and the Mega Rayquaza cap. The SAR versions of Zinnia and Aarune are among the set's chase cards, and Zinnia's is worth €27.94 today on the Japanese version.
How much are main-set cards worth
Not much, and that's normal. The 75 priced cards of the Japanese main set are worth €15.27 all together, with a median of 11 cents per card. The most expensive is the regular Mega Rayquaza ex at €1.86.
The value of Delta Reign, like every recent set, is almost all in the special rarities: in the Japanese set the top three cards are worth 80% of the total. The main set can be completed for a few tens of euros, the chase cards can't.
Note. This is a preview built on the Japanese twin set. The official Delta Reign list, with Western numbers, arrives with the release on November 6, 2026: we'll update this page at the same address then.
