In a Mega Evolution block set the value isn't in the main set, it's in the cards past the last number. Delta Reign will have 37 of them: according to the official announcement, 14 Illustration Rares, 17 Ultra Rares and 6 Special Illustration Rares, on top of a 103-card main set.
The set comes out on November 6, 2026, but you can already look at these cards: they're the ones from the Japanese twin Storm Emeralda, released in Japan on July 31, with the same artwork. This page is the preview, card by card, with the price the market pays today for the Japanese version.
In short. The card to chase in Delta Reign is Mega Rayquaza ex, in three chase treatments: Full Art, Special Illustration Rare and Gold. In the Japanese set they are worth €31.65, €271.36 and €450.51 today. Behind them come Raikou ex SAR (€38.44) and Zinnia SAR (€27.94). DarkDex prices of Japanese Near Mint cards on October 19, 2026.
The three chase Mega Rayquaza ex
These are the cards every Delta Reign box will be measured against. In the Japanese set the top two alone are worth 76% of the whole set.
- Full Art (Japanese #095): €31.65
- Special Illustration Rare (#110): €271.36, illustrated by Kazuki Minami
- Gold (#113): €450.51, the last card in the set
One thing to remember when you look for them: the Pokémon doesn't matter, the print does. The regular Mega Rayquaza ex from the main set is worth €1.86 today. Between it and the Gold there is a 242x gap.

The Special Illustration Rares (SAR)
Full-artwork cards with the silver frame. The Japanese set has six, and Delta Reign has announced six.
- Raikou ex (#108): €38.44. The surprise of the set: it beats the Mega Rayquaza ex Full Art
- Zinnia's Trust (#112): €27.94, the most expensive Trainer SAR
- Mega Golurk ex (#109): €17.52
- Mega Golisopod ex (#107): €11.09
- Aarune (#111): no reliable DarkDex price yet
Raikou ex is the most telling case. It's a beloved legendary with the only SAR in the set that isn't a main-line Mega, and the market pays for it: the same card's regular print is worth 27 cents.
The Ultra Rares: Full Arts and Trainers
Full-artwork Pokémon ex and Trainers, plus the gold special Energies. Prices drop sharply compared with the SARs, with a few exceptions.

The most expensive ones with a price: Mega Golisopod ex Full Art (#089) at €6.42, Emcee's Hype (#100) at €5.81, Mega Malamar ex Full Art (#094) at €4.93, the gold Nitro Energy (#105) at €4.23 and Heat Rotom ex Full Art (#090) at €3.75. Gold items like Pokémon Catcher, Custom Vest and the Lantern sit below one euro.
Some Full Arts (Raikou ex, Mega Golurk ex, Talonflame ex, Wishiwashi ex) don't have a reliable DarkDex price on the Japanese version yet: we add them as soon as they do.
The Illustration Rares (AR)
The entry tier of the chase cards and, for collectors, the most fun: one card per Pokémon with artwork that tells a scene. Japan has twelve, Delta Reign will have fourteen.
The top three are tied: Groudon €7.81, Kyogre €7.65, Kecleon €7.63. Then Growlithe at €6.35 and all the others between €1.85 and €4. Groudon has already appeared in the official English previews as 111/103, which confirms the numbering shift.
How much are Delta Reign chase cards worth
The 28 priced Japanese chase cards add up to €929.20, but it's all at the top: the two leading Mega Rayquaza ex make €721.87, and 23 of the 28 chase cards are worth less than €20.
What to know before November 6 is how these prices moved. The DarkDex price engine has tracked the Illustration Rares since August, and since then Kecleon went from €36.51 to €7.63, Kyogre from €32.42 to €7.65, Groudon from €20.32 to €7.81. In the first weeks you pay for the hype, then mid-tier cards deflate.
The full top-twenty ranking is in the most expensive Delta Reign cards.
Which chase cards are worth hunting
It depends on what you want:
- for value: the two top Mega Rayquaza ex, Raikou ex SAR and Zinnia SAR. They drop the least after release
- to complete something: the Illustration Rares. 14 cards, almost all under €5 on the Japanese version, a goal you can reach in a few weeks
- to play: the Mega ex Full Arts cost little more than the regular prints and are the same cards
The rule of thumb: buy Illustration Rares a few weeks after release, not on the first weekend. The top cards, on the other hand, rarely go back to their prerelease prices.
